When we developed and tested the CAT-STICK we always had one thing in mind: we have to make a catfish rod that can stand the extreme power of monster catfish and also, rough handling by the catfish angler. So with this in mind, we developed a rod with double wrapped guides without a shock ring, a glass blank, rubber grips and a heavy duty aluminum reel seat.
